VAT Relief
VAT Relief for Services
Who Can Claim VAT Relief?
Individuals who are chronically sick or disabled and require services for their personal use may be eligible for VAT relief under UK law. Additionally, charities that provide services directly to disabled individuals for their personal or domestic benefit may also qualify for VAT exemption.
To qualify for VAT relief, the service must be directly related to the individual’s condition and meet the criteria outlined by HMRC.
How to Apply for VAT Relief on Our Services
When booking our services, you will be given the option to declare your eligibility for VAT relief during the booking process. To ensure that you receive the relief:
-
Tick the VAT Relief Checkbox: Ensure that you select the VAT relief option when prompted during checkout.
-
Provide Your Medical Condition: You will be required to state the precise medical condition that qualifies you for VAT relief. This information is essential to validate your claim.
If these steps are completed correctly and your condition qualifies, VAT will not be added to your final service fee. However, if the VAT relief option is not selected, or if the medical condition is not provided, the standard VAT rate will be applied.
Important Information About VAT Relief
-
Accuracy of Claims: By completing the VAT relief declaration, you are confirming that you meet the criteria set out by HMRC. This declaration is accepted by our company as valid evidence that you qualify for VAT exemption.
-
Potential HMRC Review: If HMRC later disputes your eligibility for VAT relief, you will be liable to pay the appropriate VAT that should have been applied to the service. In such cases, FormEase reserves the right to request the payment of any outstanding VAT.
International Customers
-
EU Customers: Customers in other EU countries may be subject to VAT depending on their location and local regulations.
-
Non-EU Customers: Customers outside of the European Union are not required to pay VAT on our services.
Final VAT Calculation
The VAT amount displayed during the booking process is intended as a guide. The final VAT amount, if applicable, will be clearly stated on your invoice. If you have claimed VAT relief, your invoice will reflect the exempt status.
